Petition · Faulkner County, Arkansas

Receive resident petitions at a public meeting and post a written answer

To: County Judge Allen Dodson and the Faulkner County Quorum Court (13 justices of the peace)

Stanford researchers found people who took part in deliberative polls followed politics more closely and voted more, nearly a year later. We ask Faulkner County’s governing body to set a standing agenda time to receive petitions residents deliver, and to post a written answer to each one.

When it reaches the goal it’s handed to the officials named above at a public meeting, and their answer is posted online. This is a petition to your elected officials — like the clipboard at the courthouse door. It does not put anything on the ballot; in Arkansas and most states that takes ink signatures from registered voters. Names are never shown publicly.
