Create a county food policy council with seats for growers, schools and the food bank

To: County Judge Allen Dodson and the Faulkner County Quorum Court (13 justices of the peace)

A food policy council brings local government, growers, schools and food banks to one table. 283 were active in the U.S. as of 2020, according to a CDC journal study, and many are created by a local government resolution. We ask Faulkner County to create one by resolution.

When it reaches the goal it’s handed to the officials named above at a public meeting, and their answer is posted online. This is a petition to your elected officials — like the clipboard at the courthouse door. It does not put anything on the ballot; in Arkansas and most states that takes ink signatures from registered voters. Names are never shown publicly.
